Founded in 2001
Scarlett Ferguson is the founder and principal of Ferguson Insights. She has been in marketing insights for more than 25 years. The first half of her career was spent at leading marketing and research firms. While at Carlson Marketing Group, she designed and delivered research for consumer loyalty, channel marketing initiatives, and employee and customer satisfaction programs. At Total Research Corporation (now Nielsen), she served as Vice President, Managing Research Director Strategic Brand Division. She oversaw large quantitative studies to help clients with issues related to satisfaction, pricing, product development and brand strategy.
Independent Marketing Insights Consultant
Since 2001, Scarlett has worked successfully as an independent marketing insights consultant. She went out on her own as an insights consultant to be more available to her family. With kids grown and the opportunity to go back to the corporate world, she realized that she really enjoys working with a variety of clients and the interesting puzzles they bring, engaging with respondents from different walks in life, and the challenge to communicate their stories in a way that brings their needs to life for clients.
A Midwest Spirit
Scarlett is originally from the Illinois Quad Cities. Opening a sales office for a boutique qualitative research firm, Epley Research & Consulting, brought her to Minneapolis. She is a University of Iowa graduate, enjoys the outdoor life in Minnesota, and is always looking forward to the next travel adventure.
